Inside the Red Door... down the stairs....

This is the first time Ive seen this ..I havn't been inside this part of the outbuilding before... the flash was showing me things I've not seen...
like this shack full of barrels in between the silos and outbuilding

I didn't feel like trying to climb through a broken out window... It took quite a bit of work to open the door... it was rusted and I was making a lot of noise.

Directly in front of the door is a basement I didn't expect to see... I blame the ensuing superstitious thoughts on my racing heartbeat from having to lever open the rusted door with a short rod.
This shop looked like it was for wood at one point.  the ceiling was on the floor. the door off its hinge.
somehow this area had stayed dry and the cabinets seemed to be in fair condition considering they were exposed to the elements all year round.

Have you ever watched one of those horror movies where the character does something that seems like it's obviously a bad idea? And then you go on and on about how stupid you would have to be to do whatever it is they were doing in real life..

The floor is flooded...there are large pipes running the length of this small access room and a tank of some kind... I can hear hissing and running water.. there are lots of floating bottles and milk jugs but I could just see the bottom so I stepped down to get a better look.

I almost miss this small entrance to a long walk way that then circles both silos from underground. I was more than ready to turn around when I swear I can hear someone at the end saying that they have fresh espresso.
I took lots of pictures of the short cramped access corridor.. but this last one is the only one that didn't turn out all black..
There was no espresso and my socks are soaked...good news is that I brought extra socks and the stairwell to the main basement is right next to the locker room.
